Equestrian Park Estates is located in the town of Freedom in rural Outagamie County, Wisconsin. Freedom is a rapidly growing community of 5532, and is a cozy community at the crossroads of the Fox Valley. Freedom consists of both rural lands, farming and more urbanized subdivisions, as well as an Industrial Park. Equestrian Park Estates although located in Freedom township is only about 3 miles from the city of Appleton. Appleton is a very safe and pleasant place to live, with high employment and many rich opportunities for culture, education, and entertainment. It's clean and beautiful and filled with good people and fine institutions. The cost of living is also relatively low, especially when it comes to housing. Appleton shares its history with Lawrence University, for the two grew simultaneously. Lawrence University's 84 acre campus, with 32 instructional, recreational and administrative buildings, lies east of the city's attractive downtown.
Equestrian Estates not only has it's own riding trails, but it is also located very near to many of the Fox Valley's quality parks and trails. The closest park to Equestrian Estates is Plamann Park. Plamann Park is a 257-acre marvel that began with 147 acres donated to Outagamie County by Robert Plamann. This park includes a swimming lake, several good playgrounds, a great Frisbee golf course (27 holes), picnic shelters, baseball diamonds, tennis courts, delightful nature trails and an 18-station fitness trail. Lots of wooded land invites hiking. In winter there is cross-country skiing, snowmobile trails, a sledding hill, an ice rink, and a heated shelter. There is also a children's farm that enables kids to see what farm life is like in Wisconsin. You couldn't ask for a nicer park so close to home. |
